Not compatible with all Cable Boxes,
This review is from: Actiontec My Wireless TV WiFi / HDMI Multi-Room Wireless HD Video Kit (Electronics)
I bought this unit from BB hoping to transmitt video/audio from by bedroom cable box to the garage. I connected the transmitter as instructed and got video on the tv connected to the transmitter but no audio, I tried a different cable box in my living room but same result, video and no audio. I took the unit back and got a new one with the same result, I also tried the firmware update and that didn't work either. The two cable boxes I have are Comcast Scientific atlanta Explorer 4250 HDC and Scientific Atlanta 8300HD. I was able to get audio when connected to one of my media players so it's definetly a compatibility problem with the cable boxes. I did also try changing the output of the cable box form DD to stereo and even Mono, nothing worked. Actiontec should provide a disclaimer that it only works with certain cable boxes.

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to say "not all cable boxes are HDCP2.0 compliant"? If you had up-to-date boxes that met the standards, you wouldn't be having issues -- the actiontec boxes DO follow the standards.

Had same problem - video and no audio. Solution: The cable box settings need to be adjusted to match the audio connection being used - esp if using HDMI cable. Use the cable remote to access additional settings for the cable box. Hit "Settings button" on cable remote, select "A" for additional setting, then My Preferences/Audio Digital Out, pick HDMI.
