Pirates! and a tip,
This review is from: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag - Nintendo Wii U (Video Game)
This is a beautiful game. I haven't played much, but it looks and plays fantastic on the WiiU with both the gamepad and the pro controller. My favorite parts of ACIII were the naval battles and that is right where you start in this new adventure.
There is one thing though, if you have your WiiU settings on surround sound, the voices may not come through on the cinematic scenes. It's strange, but if you go into your settings and switch it to stereo, everything works. I have surround sound, and hopefully there is a patch soon as I've read that similar issues have been happening on the other systems as well.

Grant, how do you connect your wii u to a surround sound? Do you still have it connected through HDMI right?

yep, it's through the HDMI. I haven't had time to really get in there and try to figure out the problem. When it's set on surround, all of the game sound comes through except for voices and cutscene sounds. I'm guessing there will be a patch at some point. As for the game, it's a nice change in scenery for the series.

Does your receiver support PCM 5.1 (dolby and DTS are not supported on the Wii U)? That is the only way to hear all 5.1 channels. Otherwise, you can only hear 2.1
