Decent bag, shady seller.,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: MyLux Connection Faux Leather Hobo PurseI actually don't mind the bag I got. It arrived promptly and was packed well. The bag is under $50, had I seen it in the store I probably wouldn't have paid more than $20, but that's the gamble you take when you buy these things online.
There is quite an odor with this bag when you first take it out - it takes a few days to dissipate.
The material is okay, not great, does't feel like real leather. It's a HUGE bag, which is nice, and the orange color is spot on.
Then why did I give this review 1 star?
Because of an email I received from the seller, attempting to bribe me to give them a 5 star review.
"We appreciated your business; we would like to offer you a pair of free sunglasses (Aviator Sunglasses $12.99) as a gift from Myluxconnection, if you like our design of our product(s) and willing to write a 5 stars "Product Review" for our item. Simply go to your Amazon account > Your Order > Available Actions > Write a product review. Once the product review has been made, reply this Email with your current address and you will receive a pair of free sunglasses with no cost. Thank you again for your business also please contact us if there is anything we may assist you."
Sorry, my 5-star reviews cost $13.00, not $12.99.

Thank you for your honesty - it puts all the other reviews in question (did they really like the bag or were they just looking for a free pair of sunglasses?).

I would simply like to thank to the original purchaser for the honest review. I wish amazon would take a more pro-active approach to sellers who are obviously staging rip-offs. It's happened to me in the past. I have also been swayed into a sale by 5-star reviews. Later, when I checked the people who wrote the reviews, 99% of the time that's their single review on amazon.

Thanks (to the original purchaser) for the honest review, it is against amazon policy to solicit feedback. I read some of the 5 star reviews of this bag, and curiously some were the only review the purchaser had ever left, and another claimed to be in the U.S. but used spellings that were not the common U.S. spelling of common worlds (like "colour"), so............

Reviews are important because they are customer feedback. Honest sellers value customer feedback. Thanks again to Kristin for what I see as an honest review.

I sincerely apologize for any rudeness, Lydia J. I stand corrected. I merely meant to point out that, as a buyer, I would consider the negative review on this particular item a valuable contribution. I wish you the best.

I agree that Kristen's post was extremely helpful. I have been "saved" from purchasing some terrible products from several online retailers (Amazon and other sites). I have also read customer reviews that convinced me that I have found exactly what I am looking for.
The only point that I wanted to make in my first comment is to be open to a product that may only have one review. Sellers can't make customers provide a review. The seller of this purse trying to "bribe" a good review out of a customer is unforgivable.

That's true - it IS a single review. It does have quite a punch though, with the issue of the bribe.

Debbie Gaspirtz says:
I bought 2 of these bags, I liked the look of them and the size. When I get them I will post a very honest review. I do understand why sellers remind buyers to leave feedback, they do it in Ebay also. My handbags will arrive in a few days, I bought the tan and the black. I hope they are whats advertised, I will let you know.
