Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Going Rogue: An American Life (Hardcover)
Well, so many negative reviews from the group who won't take the time to read a stimulus or healthcare bill before passing it. To leave a review, Amazon should require that they have bought the product. If this woman is so irrelevant, why so bothered? 2010 is much closer than you might imagine....

Here in Fort Wayne yesterday I was in the vacinity of the Meijer store were Palin was appearing for the afternoon on another book signing stop, and immediately noticed the full parking lot (like at Christmas-time or at any local bar, anywhere, when Molly Hatchett comes to town), then read in today's Journal Gazette about the large crowd that'd gathered there to get their treasured books signed by Sarah, and realized that a very miniscule portion of the overall local population of Fort Wayne and Allen County, really, really dig her and her hillbilly sass (plus the out of towners who made the special pilgrimage Thursday morning, from as far away as Cincinatti and Michichigan, where a couple missed out on the book signing she did the day before in Battle Creek or someplace, so skipped work, piled the kids in the car and drove down to help fill up the Meijer parking lot for the afternoon and add a tiny portion to the ever-so-small percentage of the overall population there to root her on.

Viper, you're exactly right. These same Leftist drones on here who think opinion polls/other polls are everything--- (man they must be frustrated & worried, BTW, that Obama's approval #s keep sinking), well... have they bothered to read the proposed healthcare bill that Congress is voting on? Doubt it. Yet that socialized healthcare bill is going to cost them, as well as you and I, A LOT of money and it will really limit our choices & quality of healthcare.

Nope, these liberal fools are spending every waking hour, evidently, bashing Sarah Palin (a respectable mother, American citizen & leader) instead of paying attention to how the Marxists in our Government are trying to steal our liberty.

I look forward to reading Mrs. Palin's book when my name comes up on the waiting list at my local library. She's an enigma wrapped up in a mystery for me. I still cannot figure out what possessed the McCain campaign to select her... when the party had two sharp women, Kay B. Hutchinson (R-TX) or Meg Whitman (ex-eBay CEO). Oh well. Throwing Mrs. Palin in over her head was painful to watch but she did a lot better than I could have done.

L. Rose, out of curiosity, in your mindset, are the United Kingdom, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and all the other countries who have national health systems 'marxist' in your book, too? Virtually every democracy in the world except for the United States has a national health care system of some sort.. are they all "marxist?" Furthermore, it seems the numbers suggest that pretty much all of them PAY LESS and GET MORE for their health care than we do in the United States as far as care goes (please don't confuse health care RESEARCH in the USA, which is funded seperately, with health care treatment, which national health care is about). If we can all agree that "communism (as practiced in the soviet union) might be ok in theory, but clearly failed in practice", then why don't you apply the same test to health care in the USA, which has clearly failed in the same way as Commnism has in the soviet union by showing itself to be an inferior system in terms of costs/benefits that has weighed down the US economy, as ANYBODY who has seriously looked at the numbers will agree? Why don't you stop throwing idiotic loaded words like "marxist" around and contribute to an intelligent discussion on the issues by looking at the actual numbers?

What in the world? These other countries you list may be not be Marxists, but they certainly are not a democracy as described in our Constitution. They are more socialist than anything...look at their laws against personal freedoms....women....large taxes....etc.
