A good reflection of South Asian Immigrant life in the US,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Family Life: A Novel (Kindle Edition)
Being a first generation South Asian immigrant myself I found the novel a true reflection of the social and psychological make up of people from that part of the world.
The author describes the challenges faced by this group of people expertly and the nuances of struggling to assimilate in a new culture while trying to retain the culture of back home.
Having raised two boys in the US who were not born here and seeing one of them become successful in the world of high finance I can testify to the reality of the life of the characters in this novel.

Do you think there is enough imagination put into the book?
