Lies disguised as truth,
This review is from: Conversations with God: An Uncommon Dialogue, Book 1 (Hardcover)
This book has enough truth to make it appealing but no sooner has the author written a true word than he writes a lie. These are true:God is Love - God is Light - God did create us because he loves us - but God also revealed himself fully in the Bible and through Jesus. We can talk to God and He does speak to us but He is other than ourselves - we are not god nor will we ever be but we can find fulfilment in knowing God through Jesus because he came to show God to us. Self is not the most important thing in relationships - there is a heaven - there is right and wrong - there is truth and there there are lies! I found a lot of inconsistencies in this book - eg in one breath he is denying that Jesus was anything other than a man who understood his Godness - then he says that Jesus did heal people, - but he denies the truth of the Bible. If the Bible is not true - how do you know about Jesus? The Bible is where we find out about him. Please don't order your life on what this book says - read the Bible thoughtfully and get to know the God of the Bible who loves, is personal and relational unlike the gods of other religions and who has a purpose for each of us.
