Spooky and Quick,

This review is from: A Shiver At Twilight (Kindle Edition)
This is not a YA novel in that there is sex and a lot of profanity (GD, JC, F-word, B-word). This is a somewhat spooky story as it contains a haunted house and ghosts along with a murder and betrayal plot that last over many years.
Carly is determined to find her friend who was in a car accident on a windy deserted road. When she finds the car, it is her friend isn't in it but another female body is. She sees a house with lights and a fire in the distance, and since it is raining and she has fallen down a cliff, she heads for it. A creepy old man lets her in and then hunky JD shows up in his pick-up and offers to take her home. As they are ready to leave, lightening cracks, hitting a tree which promptly falls onto JD's truck, smashing it down the center. Shocked, they head back into the house as the rain has turned into a snow storm.
Carly is determined that all that is happening is for a reason and as they stand there looking at each other, an invisible being charges through the house, pushing them aside and slamming out the front door. Wide eyed, they finally realize that something supernatural is going on and they have stumbled upon a murder mystery where the ghosts have a story to tell and neither Carly nor JD are there by coincidence.
Except for the foul language, this was a suspenseful, enjoyable story. The ending was summed up WAAAAAYYYY to quickly, and the characters fall into lust, I mean love awfully fast, but who knows what spending a night in a haunted house can do to speed things up a bit.
