This review is from: Columbia Men's Watertight II Front-Zip Hooded Rain Jacket (Apparel)
The jacket seems well made and does keep me dry, BUT, the older version had a special "pocket" that you stuffed your jacket into that Velcro-ed shut to keep it secure. On this version they just inserted a tag that reads "Packable" to one of the pockets. This system is a joke as there is no way to close the pocket withe the jacket balled up inside and from the looks of it the pocket will fail in time. I'm sure it was a cost saving modification to have one of the pockets double as the "packable" pocket, but let's get real, any coat can be crammed into one of it's cargo pockets with no way to close it. They should have just not even said it was packable because it's much smaller just rolling it up into the hood than cramming it into one of it's pockets and I'm sure it will last much longer that way. This part of the product is pretty bush league.

The "packable" pocket has a dual zipper pull so you can stuff the jacket inside and zip it closed. I packed mine last night, and everything fits perfectly.

Yes, you CAN get the jacket into the pocket by cramming it it. Then the zipper is so tight it barely closes. The pocket and zipper are sure to fail.
