Nice looking, small footprint, but non-ergonomic alarm on/off control,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I bought this clock to be used as an alarm clock. I wanted something that had a small footprint so it didn't take up too much room on the nightstand. I also wanted something battery operated so i didn't have to bother with cords/plugs. It meets all of those requirements - its nice looking, and just the right size. It's sufficiently loud to wake up a sound sleeper, which is a requirement for me. It set itself right out of the box, and i have had no issues with the displayed time. The controls in the back to set the time, or alarm time are easy to figure out and set. However, the control on the back to set the alarm to "On", or "Off" or "Snooze" is not easy to set at all. Its a little vertical switch with bumpy tactile ridges that can slide to 3 positions. THe problem is that you have to pick up the clock, turn it over, then adjust the switch to the right spot. There isn't enough difference between the positions, so you have to move the switch back and forth between all of them to make sure you have it lined up correctly to On/Off or Snooze. It's not that clear, and you definitely have to fiddle with it in the light. Other clocks i have had you could turn the alarm to the on/off just by feeling it in complete darkness. Not this one. I only used the Snooze funcationality one time, and remember that you only got one Snooze alarm. After that, it didnt come back on again. Overall, the clock meets my needs since i am not a Snoozer, but i do wish that alarm on/off button in the back was easier to use.
