It is amazing how similar this story is to my situation. It feels good to know there are others going through the same thing and have gotten through it. I'm only half way through and can't wait to read the rest. Hilarious drawings convey the exact feeling I get when reading about the characters. This really makes me think about what role I play with my DIL, my MIL and what parts of all that I get from my own mother. Insightful and honestly sincere book. Highly suggest if you are having anything other than a blissful life with your relatives.

C. A. stavran says:
This author takes my information to heart, whether she ever heard from me or not, she knows my situation. Her answers gave me the courage to examine things from all aspects possible. Now I am able to see I'm not alone in coping with this difficult relationship. I no longer feel guilty for every attempt made to find a place in this extended family. My mil is the one missing out on a chance for a good relationship. She lost the respect fo a lot of people and I did my best. THis book helped me see so much with its often funny ways iof relating situations. I can now communicate with no expectations of any meaningful kindness or consideration of my feelings and be ok with the lack of normal human kindness.
