This story I really had trouble getting into. I don't know whether it was the translation or the plot, but it was very difficult to figure out what the author was saying and caused me to have to reread several sections to get the gist of what was happening. I also felt like the story lacked the passion/intensity of the protagonist to justify the reason to fall in love or to find meaning of life.
The protagonist, Ms. Linda is going through personal crisis. People who view her ...she has everything a woman can dream .. e.g, material goods, luxury, etc. And she is also married to a man who loves her as well. However, she is somehow unhappy and feels that she is missing something from her life. She discovers this from a writer when interviewed.
First personal narrative, preachy feeling expressed, and more like a self-help philosophical rumblings.
All in all, I was rather disappointed.
