I sprang for the wrong spring bar remover..........,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: SE - Spring Bar Tool, with Replaceable Tips (Misc.)
I bought this piece of junk some months ago and it worked OK at the beginning. Then during a removal, I noticed one of the tines on the small end was gone. Fortunately, it still removed the pins, but how long before the other tine decides to break? It left a jagged edge and might gnarl the inside of the lugs. I haven't tried to file the jagged, but why should I? I never forced the issue with the removal procedure. So I can only conclude that the metal was not properly tempered. As a lot of stuff from Asia appears to be. I'd replace the cruddy tip if I could find the info here. I couldn't, so that's probably a waste of time. Guess I'll go Swiss.
