Love this HP Computer and Windows 7!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: HP Pavilion 500-281 Desktop (Windows 7) (Personal Computers)
I had recently purchased a new computer with Windows 8 installed on it, and after using it for a few days, I returned it because I HATED Windows 8. Hate is not too strong a word. I am not a computer novice, I used to be a computer trainer before I retired, so I know how to use computers and was anxious to see what Windows 8 was all about. But after using it, I found that I hated everything about it returned the computer. I immediately started looking for a new HP computer with Windows 7 on it. I found this awesome HP computer with Windows 7 on Amazon and I have loved every minute of using it. It is super fast and came with a really nice wireless keyboard and mouse. It is going to be harder and harder to find new computers with Windows 7 installed on them. If you are in the market for a great computer at a great price, get one of these treasures before they are gone. You won't regret it.

Did it really come with a wireless keyboard and mouse?

Yes, the model I purchased from Amazon did come with a wireless keyboard and mouse. And really nice ones. This computer has continued to be exceptional and I wish Amazon had a way of making more of them available.

I don't know which product M. Moore is describing because the HP product #500-281 that I purchased from Amazon certainly did not come with a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse (and it does not come with a monitor as a heads up). So, M. Moore, which HP product model did you really purchase?

I am so incredibly sorry about the MISTAKE I made in my review of the HP product #500-281. It was most definitely NOT intentional and I would have no reason to "fabricate" a review. The only ERROR I made when writing my review was in putting in the word "wireless" when referring to the mouse and keyboard. Again, it was an ERROR and was most definitely NOT INTENTIONAL. I sincerely apologize for making the MISTAKE. The keyboard and mouse that came with the HP #500-281 computer was indeed wired and was the nicest keyboard (wired) I have ever gotten with a new computer. The mouse was standard and it was fine, but I would not call it exceptional. However, because I wanted one of the natural-shaped keyboards and I wanted it to be wireless, I purchased a new wireless keyboard/mouse combination and kept the wired one that came with the HP computer in case I ever needed it in an emergency. I couldn't bear to throw the keyboard away because it was so nice. We had just moved into a new home and had boxes everywhere and when I got around to writing my review, I had simply forgotten that I had purchased the wireless keyboard and mouse separately. It was a sincere MISTAKE. I rely heavily on Amazon reviews for everything I purchase from them and I would NEVER fabricate or intentionally mislead anyone about a product. But for you to make the blanket statement that "M Moore apparently likes to fabricate product reviewS and I hope everyone realizes this" was unfair. I realize you may be angry about the keyboard and mouse not being wireless but I don't understand the leap you made to saying I liked to fabricate reviewS, plural. What exactly do I have to gain from doing something like that? Rath from people like you who bought something based on my review who were disappointed? I fail to see the benefit in doing something like that? As far as the HP 500-281 computer goes, I still have it and use it every day and I still love it and am still thrilled with my purchase. I apologize to anyone my ERROR about the wireless keyboard/mouse may have caused any inconvenience to. By the way, I didn't think it was necessary to mention that it did not come with a monitor. This was no package deal, it was simply a computer and if a monitor was included, Amazon would have stated it in the ad. But, again, mea cupla.

Windows 8 STINKS.
I am going to buy a new HP desktop with old reliable Win7; if I have to go into debt, so be it.
8 is just the pits.

You have absolutely no idea of what you are talking about. My Windows 7 HP computer was brand new and the computer and keyboard were extremely high quality, whereas the HP computer with Windows 8 that I returned was really poor quality and the keyboard was so bad you could barely read the letters on the keyboard. You should investigate the facts more before making such negative and condescending comments based on your incorrect assumption about a computer you know nothing about.
