Good Idea, Poor Implementation,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Xbox 360 Kinect Wall Mount (Video Game)
I like this wall mount a lot. It frees up a lot of space and works better than other mounts that I have used for my Kinect.
I was trying to anchor this mount into the drywall above my TV and I ran in to some problems. I drilled holes for the anchors and put those in. However, I snapped three of the screws that were provided trying to screw them in to the anchors. I would have given this product 5 stars if I could have mounted it with the hardware that was provided. It was annoying to have to go and purchase decent mounting hardware. Other than that, this product works as advertised.

Brian M Wise says:
Generally speaking if you use the attachment hardware included in any product, regardless of where it's coming from, you'll need to upgrade especially if you're doing a drywall installation. Unfortunately it's just the fact of life that drywall anchors that aren't commercial-grade tend to straight up suck. For $8, you're not going to get marvelous anchors that work in exactly your wall.

Matthew Deeds says:
The anchors provided are fine. The problem is they are designed for drywall screws or other screws that are tougher than the ones provided. There are cheaper plastic anchors that would work with these screws. The manufacturer clearly didn't test this.
Drywall is the most common installation method for wall mounts. I think your generalization is untrue and the warning associated with the above review is warranted.
