This review is from: It's Your Business: 183 Essential Tips that Will Transform Your Small Business (Hardcover)
Let me start off with this... I have a major bias toward books that are a compilation of actionable tips. They become reference guides for me, and JJ Ramberg's book is no different.
My favorite chapter (and the one I recommend most) is Chapter 8 "Getting Your Message Out There." It has a collection of 17 tips that get my mind stimulated to push the limit on my own current marketing. I have already taken ideas from here. Not directly, but used the book to spawn my "final marketing product."
I have this puppy in arms reach and think you will too.
1. Doable, "how to" actions... not just ideas and platitudes.
2. Covers all facets of business, from recruiting employees to sales to controlling costs and running the office.
3. Tons of angles. I like that each idea is from a different entrepreneur or expert. Each approach has a unique feel.
1. JJ has grown a wildly successful business (goodSearch.com) of her own. I really want to hear her story and the step by step on how she did it. It's not included in the book, I and I think it should have been.

Well, since this is coming from YOU Mike, looks like this is another "must have!" Will pre-order for Kindle and most likely end up getting a hard copy too since I've been enjoying JJ's "Your Business" on MSNBC for so long. Like you stated, I also appreciate actionable tips!

LOL! Well... I do have a tip in there! I actually have it in my hands now and am reading tip #48. I have to do a performance review for a contractor I have, and planned to do a pay raise. But now the tip has me thinking totally differently. It is a handy dandy book!
