This review is from: Becoming Me (Diary of a Teenage Girl: Caitlin, Book 1) (Paperback)
I am a Christian teen, and usually I don't expect much out of Christian books. The few that are out there seem to be by authors who are obviously in a dream world and don't really understand anything we go through, though they try to act like they do- while forcing their beliefs on us. Not very trustworthy. But this book is different. It's like she really knows what we go through... Now I don't have the exact same problems as Caitlin, but I have a lot that are just as serious, just as heartwrenching, and just as life-ruining. (I realize that sounds like a soap opera.) And while I read the book, I kind of felt that I was growing spiritually with Caitlin. I'm definitely still struggling as hard as I was, but now I feel a little bit more trusting to God, knowing that pretty much all teens have problems as bad as mine- and God didn't just give me the short end of the stick!
