Good Introduction - Light on How-Tos,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: OpenSUSE 11.0 and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Bible (Paperback)
This is a good book if you know almost nothing about Linux or the seven layers of the OSI model and other basic concepts. But if you want to know anything specific about configuring Linux services or the global-type sevices that this release of Opensuse supports (NFS, Samba, etc.) this book will not help very much.
After using the CD as an install medium, I spent most of my time looking for answers on-line, not in the book.

Interesting review. I am looking for the details for running Suse 11.3 (VM Player) so the information in this review is of particular interest.

I agree. I'm learning openSUSE and found this book be more on "general reading" side. For more technical issues I go for the library included in OpenSUSE 11.3 Linux, 4-disks DVD Installation and Reference Set
