Worth the cost!,

This review is from: Clear Screen Protector with Cleaning Cloth for 7-Inch Kindle Fire - 2 Pack (Personal Computers)
If you know how to properly install these inexpensive screen protectors, they are as functional as a more expensive overlay. They don't cover the entire screen but they do cover the viewable area, the same area a finger or stylus will use. To install, all you have to do is clean your screen thoroughly then mist some LCD screen cleaner on the screen and the side of the overlay that will be facing down against the screen. place the screen protector/overlay on the screen and using something stiff like a credit card for example, start in the middle and work your way to the edges using the card as a squeege . To avoid scratching the overlay, cover the edge with a soft lint free cloth. I installed the screen protector on my sister's Kindle Fire HD 7 and like I said, it covers the viewable part only and does not cover the border.

I forgot to add that when I bought this, it was only $2.00 but at around $4.00, it's still not a bad deal. All the people that gave these a bad rating just did not know what they were doing. The review that said that it did not stick must have tried to use the protective film instead off the protector itself.
