Very Helpful Even After Your Trip,
This review is from: Fodor's Spain 2012 (Full-color Travel Guide) (Paperback)
We had both the Fodor's and Rick Steve's guide books - both are fine but the Fodor's is hands-down the one with the most information. We were on a tour which was pretty fast paced - from Barcelona, the Northern Pyrenees to Madrid. While I found it helpful to read beforehand what we would see, I have found it invaluable to reread the information in the Fodor's as I work with my many photo images.
The map of Spain was very helpful in order to get a sense of the Northern part of Spain.
The Fodor's is a bit on the heavy side compared to Rick Steve's - they really are both good, but I am more impressed with the Fodor's. There are many full colored illustrations which were helpful. Lots of information on Gaudi's work in Barcelona.
