5.0 out of 5 stars Competence Has Nothing To Do With Race, May 20, 2012
This review is from: The Amateur (Hardcover)
Edward Klein has performed a wonderful service for the American voter. Obama has been so reluctant to let anyone know his true history that, unfortunately, it takes a persistent and courageous intellect like Klein to do the work for all of us. We owe him a debt.

With Barack Obama, you automatically get called a "racist" if you disagree with him, or notice any of his abundance of flaws. Anyone using such names, in my opinion, are simply projecting their own racism onto the individuals they are accusing of it. Many of us knew before he was elected the first time that Obama was not ready to be President (he even questioned this himself), and that his politics were on the far left. He has confirmed all of this in the last three years. Pointing this out is clear thinking, not racism.

Competence has nothing to do with race. There are light-skinned morons and dark-skinned geniuses and vice versa. It is not one's skin color which defines anyone, it is their mind and their character. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated it as well as anyone. He wanted his children judged, "not by the color or their skin", but by their "character." Character is an individual trait, not a group trait. It doesn't matter what skin color Obama is; it matters whether or not he is a competent President.

I would encourage you to buy this book and discover for yourself if Obama is a competent President. Mr. Klein is very convincing - as is Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

Mr. Obama has been quite open about his life story. He wrote a book about it. The fact that you aren't happy the people of the United States elected him President doesn't mean he wasn't honest. It means you simply can't deal with it.

If you are convinced America has reached a post-racial age, you are not paying attention.

Reading your posts, you are obviously a partisan Obama supporter who tries to trash any book critical of him.

Let's not try to play the objective observer with peurile insults about not being able to "deal with it."

You are right about one thing; Obama makes it hard to think of a post-racial society when he, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson all jump on the same bandwagon.

Very hard indeed.

Obama will go down as being the most racist president in the past hundred years.

Thank you for what you said in your 2nd paragraph. I, for one, am so sick of being labeled racist when I have very carefully researched many things about this 'pretend president. I am now about to order this book.
