This is my experience with the Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX. Maybe I got a bad one, but nothing helps. Settings, lighting, tried all suggestions. Time for a trip back to the store. I've always like Logitech, but this one didn't impress me.

Looks like your camera automatically did a low light boost initally and then you flooded it with light after to get the bleach effect. Bit like shining a torch into someone's eyes when they are wearing nightvision goggles lol.

Hit the default when it does that and it will automatically snap back to a balanced image.

Did you really expect anything better from this webcam? It's like buying a scooter and expecting a Bently. From what I saw, it was decent video comparatively speaking.
