This review is from: The House of Wisdom: How Arabic Science Saved Ancient Knowledge and Gave Us the Renaissance (Paperback)
According to this author, many of the most important Western innovations were the result of Arabic scholars during the middle ages. Yeah I know, that this seems crazy. But, the author makes an interesting argument for writing that the Western world owes a great debt to these Arabic scholars. But, one wonders where they are today. We could use them to straighten some of this mess, right? This author, a British - Iraqi physicist, also raises a good question - why did the Islamic world enter into a dark age after all these contributions were made? Good question. And, my question is, where are they now?
