NOT hypoallergenic for my baby!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo with Natural Oat Extract 18-Ounce (Health and Beauty)
We got this wash for our baby with sensitive skin. The first time we used it, it was OK. The second time, however, resulted in hives all over his body. They were giant things -- bigger than the size of his ear! I didn't put two and two together, though, and thought it was something I ate before I nursed him. The third time it clicked when the hives came back with a rage. I wish I could share a photo of how awful it is! Even though this product claims to be 'natural', it totally isn't!

Same thing happened to my son who had eczema.

Because anyone can be allergic to anything, hypoallergenic means absolutely nothing. It's one of those things that can be put on any product because it doesn't mean much. Much like "PH balanced", "Natural", "revitalizing" as well as many others. It is simply a marketing ploy.

C. Morley says:
We used Aquaphor Shampoo and wash. It is clear and smells like absolutely nothing, so don't expect a new baby smell. However, it didn't cause any irritation or eczema at all, which was what we were looking for!
