Soles came apart after a month,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: New Balance Men's MX608V2 Training Shoe (Apparel)
I am on my second pair of these. The first pair was purchased about 6 months ago (also the v2 version). I noticed that the soles, in particular the right sole was separating from the shoe at the back. I believe this was caused by driving, the right heel rests on the floor of the vehicle to push the accelerator. I think that they should last longer than that, even if you wear them for driving.
Anyway, that pair was worn out, so I ordered a new pair from Amazon. After wearing the new ones less than a month, the same thing happened! I couldn't believe it! The back part of the sole has separated from the bottom of the shoe. This creates a "flap", which besides being really annoying, is unsafe for walking and driving. By the time I got around to investigating, I'd exceeded the Amazon return window, so I called New Balance. The person I spoke with was very helpful. Bottom line, I shipped the shoes back to them a few days ago (I paid for shipping), and they will send me a new pair (they pay return shipping). The customer service person said that a month was really too short, the shoes should last longer. He said they usually tell people to think about replacements after 8 months of use. That seemed really short. I had expected these shoes (any shoes) to last at least a year.

I have bought many pairs of athletic shoes for my children over 20 years and found that Nike shoes have a common problem of the soles coming apart after very little use, often within 2 months when shoes are only worn for specific sports. I began buying other brands and have had better results with New Balance, until recently. I bought a pair of NB 659's for everyday use and the bottom portion of the sole has separated in less than 3 months use. $65 for shoes that last 3 months sucks. Guess I will try Adidas.

Mine have done the same thing.I bought mine from Mason's,trying to get my credit rating built up,and the pair I have, started separating around the heel area in less than 2 months.I don't wear mine for everyday either,I have an old pair of NB 623's for that.I thought about buying a new pair of 623's but after reading the reviews they are not the same either since Vietnam started making them, that's just one of the reasons this coun try is in the shape it is in,"we ain't seen bad yet,but it's comin".
