3.0 out of 5 stars Does what it claims, but think this through..., February 24, 2012

Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Global Game Gear GGG0027 Bracket for Kinect and Wii Sensor Bar, also works with wireless sensor bar (Accessory)
I can't really give a bad review to this item because it does exactly what it claims, but when I started setting it up, I immediately felt very dumb. Attaching the Wii sensor bar to the Kinect sensor with these brackets results in a very awkward looking Frankenstein's monster of a device. (Also, neither part fits particularly tightly, so things will get knocked out of symmetry with the slightest bump.)

It took me all of 5 seconds to realize that the Wii sensor bar can easily (more neatly, and more attractively) be attached to the top of the Kinect sensor with some lightweight mounting tape. So, unless you're utterly horrified at the thought of applying easily removable adhesive to your Kinect sensor, just go that route.

Same here. I mustve been tired when I impulse added XBox accessories from my "save" list. The pictures were clearly there. no misconceptions as to what you're buying. But for 5$, cut some velcro, Scotch/3M fasteners and apply as needed.

I had already had my Wii sensor discreetly mounted at a natural level right under the TV on the TV unit. another 5 seconds of thought and I shouldve realized I could just repeat that application on the Kinect and dont even have to add anything to the sensor.

Ultimately, for 5$, it's overpriced, and I left my wii sensor where it always was, and sat my Kinect on top of my TV unit since it could auto angle downwards. I'd rather not have my wii sensor up there with it, awkwardly having the player point upwards above the TV to control anything.
