Good Advice, Irritating Style,

Had I even a mild affinity for magic shows, circuses or jugglers, I suppose this book would have resonated. But I do not and it did not. Essentially it is the author's account of his creative process. Written in a choppy style with the occasional ink drawing, it is best read in small chunks. To his credit, he does not prescribe a system for the reader and many of his points are thought provoking. He certainly is passionate about what he does. That is key, along with discipline and dedication, to success in any creative endeavor. Good advice is presented though nothing new and the "look, I am an artiste" style was difficult and tiresome.
