Great Child Appeal,
This review is from: Stack 'N Puzzles - an Educational Puzzling Adventure for Kids (App)
What We Liked:
Once my children discovered Stack N' Puzzles on one of our iPads they were clamoring for their own turns to help Stack rebuild his town. The child appeal is unbeatable, and the helpful hints for children make the silhouette-style puzzles easy for even tiny children to complete.
The inclusion of the written names of each object beneath the puzzle pieces adds some gentle reinforcement for the connecting of printed words to common, high-interest objects. With each object saying its name when tapped - whether in the puzzle tray or after it is placed into the puzzle background - this app can also serve as a tool for early language development.
What We Didn't Like:
The speed and frequency with which the dinosaur skeleton escapes and the reoccurring fire rate can be pretty intense and might be overwhelming for some children.
Stack N' Puzzles is not only hugely fun with its interactive completed vehicle puzzles and reconstructed town puzzle, but also provides support for first-words style early language development with the English language option turned on. The repeat play value of this app has brought my little ones back to this app again and again.
