Very easy, very simple everday Chinese dishes,
This review is from: Easy Chinese Recipes: Family Favorites From Dim Sum to Kung Pao (Hardcover)
I bought this book, after following several recipes off Bee Yinn's cooking blog : RasaMalaysia.com. I've followed to a "T", her recipe for BBQ Pork (Char Siu) twice and it came out beautiful. Only problem was, I didn't make enough, for a Steamed Char Siu Bao, because the family wiped out all of it twice.
If you're looking for really simple Asian dishes to cook on a everyday basis, this would be it. She gives lots of tips, tricks, ideas and inspirations. Most seasoned home chefs I know would love to collect her book, just for her ideas!

It looks like you thoroughly enjoyed the book so why did you give it a 4 out of 5? Was the book missing something you've forgotten to include in your review?

Yes, I thought the book was fantastic! It's simple, easy to make dishes were the star! I guess, I was looking out for certain recipes that she had written about in her blog. It is easier to refer to a book, than to go online, when you're stuck for dinner ideas. :)

I had the same thought. You said you really liked the book. Did you knock off one star because you didn't make enough?

It seems to me like Su Chin is saying in her reply to Shi Daniels who posed the same question that one star was taken away for not including certain recipes from the author's blog, which still causes him/her to have to look them up on the blog when having them in the book would have been more convenient.
