5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT PC, April 20, 2012

This review is from: CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA820 with AMD FX-8120 CPU, 8GB DDR3, NVIDIA GTX550Ti, 1TB HDD, 24x DVD+-RW Win 7 Home 64-Bit (Discontinued by Manufacturer) (Personal Computers)
After booting up this system for the first time I knew it was a gamer's PC. The fans are quiet and the blue LEDs really make the case stand out. Don't let the Intel lovers scare you away from the AMD processor. It runs great and is extremely fast. The GeForce 550 Ti graphics card makes games gorgeous. Running World of Warcraft on Ultra settings brings me Orgrimmar down to only 40 fps at peak times. Be ready to raid between 52-60+ fps in any situation. Star Wars: The Old Republic looks absolutely gorgeous and is flawless in rendering every world, creature, tree and color crystal. Fleets bring me down barely anything form my constant 50-60 fps.

PROS: Quiet running fans, fast CPU and mother board with a fast amount of USB ports totaling 8. Video card is a steal at this tower's price. 1TB HDD is a great buy for anyone these days. USB ports in front along with audio output and voice input make for the ideal spot for headsets. Also the little tray on top are great for extra USB hubs, external storage devices or for looks.

CONS: The case is slightly heavier than expected but nothing to fuss about. The keyboard and mouse that come with it are great for those who are doing a full replace or getting their first desktop but not for hardcore gamers or gamers making the leap to hardcore. The fans do start falling behind after about 5 hours of use from the video card but fans are cheapo to buy and easy to mount

OVERALL: This is a great desktop, I suggest getting a HD monitor to fully enjoy the graphics this guy dishes out. I suggest this to anyone starting out or moving up from an older machine. Components are easy to reach for upgrades as time moves forward.

Hello,
I was wondering how long you have had your computer? Is it still running as well?

Thank you!

Apologies for the late reply. I have currently had my machine for about 3 weeks now. I do recommend getting at least one front intake fan for better cooling on the video card when gaming. It runs extremely well. ASUS motherboard and the AMD processor are a perfect match. A lot of reviews say the processor is garbage, I disagree strongly because of how fast this guy is. Just be gentle with the USB ports because the back cover plate can misguide your drive from time to time.

The tower does not come with a reciever unfortunately. I picked up a usb reciever for about $15. Much easier than a PCI card. I suggest looking into at least an extra fan for air intake if you will be gaming for extended periods.
