Again, it must be the time for me to test and learn about new and truly quality cooking utensils.
I have NEVER owned a "real" grown-up chef's knife - mostly out of fear since I tend to drop things and the thought of accidentally losing a finger or toe out of sheer clumsiness makes me nauseous.
I received this amazing knife and have never removed something from its container with more care. The first thing I used it on was lemons that needed to be sliced.
Two words: Like. Butter.
This is one serious mamma-jamma of a large sharp Swiss knife but its handle is VERY accommodating for those of us with smallish hands so there was no loss of blood or digits as I sliced my four lemons with complete and total ease.
I look forward to using it for more serious cooking tasks.
I have a great feeling about not being afraid of large knives anymore.
This one does an incredible job and is, thankfully, nothing to be afraid of.
