Casca In The Clash Of Civilizations,
This review is from: CASCA: Sword of the Brotherhood (CASCA: The Eternal Mercenary, #35) (Perfect Paperback)
This latest Casca novel from Tony Roberts continues the action-packed adventures of Casca in some of the olden civilizations of the world, specifically as a soldier with the Byzantine Empire fighting against the Persian Empire, 622-628 AD. He is forced into doing this by his arch nemesis, The Brotherhood Of The Lamb, which needs him to steal their sacred Spear back from the Persians.
In the several battles and small personal fights, Casca is always front-and-center, carrying the action to the enemy. And with Mr. Roberts' very exciting detailed descriptions, the reader feels right alongside Casca as he fights his battles and tries to outwit the Brotherhood throughout the book and in the grand finale at the end. Furthermore, Casca's experiences in the army camps and in the cities and towns are well-described and made very interesting by Mr. Roberts.
This is high adventure well worth reading.
