WAIT To Buy This,
This review is from: Call of Duty: Black Ops II - PlayStation 3 (Video Game)
I'm not going to comment on the game play, because, let's face it, CoD games are more or less all the same -- you either like them or you don't. However, I strongly advise all fans of this series to wait a while before buying this version. The reason is simple: almost nothing functions correctly! Screen freezes, system lockups, sound drops, "unavailable" servers, lagging...you name it. This is a prime example of "set a release date and then fail to get the job done in time." The game needs serious work before it'll be ready for prime time. So spare yourself some frustration and don't buy it until that work is done and the myriad of problems have been addressed.

It's not that bad. It's not a fail at all. They'll adjust. The COD series always gets more fans than the last so the numbers are always going to be greater. I had 5 out of 25 games drop or freeze no bill deal they'll be less today.

I played 5 hours straight and had ONE freeze up, how is that BAD?? I think you need to upgrade your personal internet connection. Don't blame the game for your crappy connection.

It's always amusing when fanbois feel the need to mindlessly bash others in defense of their precious consumer products. My connection is 50 megabits and every other title in my PS3 library runs flawlessly. So the game is obviously the source of the problems -- problems many other people are clearly having too, based on the millions of results generated by Google for the simple query "black ops 2 freezing." This game is half-baked on release. It's happened before with CoD and, as was the case in the past, Activision will likely fix the issues with updates within a few months. Hence my advice to hold off for a while until buying the new version. BO2 is potentially very good, but that potential is currently being hindered by widespread reliability problems.

I've had the same problems with the other games in the franchises when they were first released. I played for about 3 or 4 hours on the first night and never got kicked out of a match while I was playing. I did have problems in the private lobby with my friends sometimes. I think it's hit or miss for some people.

None of this has happened to me. Not once. Not even for a second. This feels like a troll.

The only thing that ever changes about the call of duty games is the stories and the weapons . Thats it everything else stays the same. If you played one, you played them all . Save your money. This series is so over rated.
