5.0 out of 5 stars Best machine Microsoft has ever made, June 22, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: XBOX Console (Console)
I have the very first build of the Xbox, and let me just say that after YEARS of playing it (we preordered it), with hundreds upon hundreds, maybe around 1500 different save files, the damn thing STILL has... you guessed it, "50,000+ Blocks", and is still kickin. I strongly recommend modding it with a media center hack, and turning it into your personal entertainment system for classic games, regular DVDs, and music. Great thing. I freakin wish that Microsoft hadn't been its creator, they are such cheap bastards, and original Xbox live doesn't work anymore, but still a good piece of gaming history. Greatest Xbox original games of all time, that I've played:

-Halo: Combat Evolved
-Halo 2
-Cell Damage
-007: Goldfinger
-Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (I and II)
-Burnout: Revenge
-Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit
-Heroes of the Pacific
-Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood
-Call of Duty (the original)
-Medal of Honor: Rising Sun
-Medal of Honor: Frontline
-Tao Feng
-Star Wars: Battlefront (I and II)
-Hitman

But out of all of those, Halo: Combat Evolved is hands down the best, without dispute.
Amen.

I chose PS2 instead of Xbox... and I have to say that the Xbox is the heavy hitter whereas PS2 is the light runner. Xbox has SERIOUS graphics, heavy gameplay, and so much raw unrealized power that it is amazing! PS2 had 3rd party support out the ears and Xbox had main stream games worth purchasing.

The 360 is everything plus, but man, this system is still kicking butt. SUre, it was discontinued in 05-06, but the games it has are hard core.

Good reviews guys and just wanted to add that the Xbox has some great games as well like Morrowind and GTA San Andreas as well as Silent Hill 2. The PS2 has Metal Gear Solid 3 and Resident Evil 4. Both systems are pretty good. Xbox is better I still think though.

When Xbox Live launched in 2002 i got it the first day, nothing will ever compare to motogp online and whacked online Demo's. The best games i ever played though was Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2, Rainbow six 3, and Rainbow six 3:Black Arrow. But without online support those games just aren't as fun anymore.
