great review!
This really shows it up close! I have a before and after of my floor but, dang it, I can't upload it for some reason. I'll try it again this weekend. But yours is far better done with your background music and I never showed HOW to use , like refilling it... which is really what people want to see anyway. And I like the dog putting in his two cents! That happens all the time when I videotape!! :-) Alana

Alana,
I really appreciate your kind comments. It means a lot to me coming from you since it was YOUR review that led me to buy it in the first place. I knew about steam carpet cleaners but not a steam mop. I was looking through your reviews and that's when I discovered them. The dog (Bella) was just visiting with her mommy and when she saw the steam coming out of the cleaner she got scared and decided that she needed to protect us from that thing (and she is about six pounds!). Thanks again, Tim

I just used this steamer yesterday and was concerned that it didn't appear there was a lot of steam coming from the steamer. I've seen other steamers demonstrated that show large bursts of steam. My steamer did not do this. My concern is that my steamer may be defective. Can you comment on the amount of steam that it should emit?

Hi Judy,
I've had this happen to me and have seen others mention it in their reviews: when I first used it a lot of water ran through quickly, got the floor really wet, very little steam came out and it ran out of water in about 5 minutes. However, after I refilled it a lot of steam came out, less water showed on the floor and it lasted for about 20 minutes. As a matter of fact, I just used it this morning and it works like you would expect it to. I see the "cloud" of steam only when it is sitting in one place for a while, not when I am moving it, but it is really getting the floor clean. I would suggest trying it again before returning it. After warm up (4 minutes) lift up the entire unit and you should be seeing steam. If not, you've got a problem. I hope that this has helped, Tim

Tim, first thanks so much for the demo video. I looked all over the internet for a demo and was happy to find yours. Thanks too for your quick response to my post. I did exactly as you said, and the steam did come out in full force. In fact, I went over the floor I had done yesterday and the pad was very dirty. I had the same experience as you the first time I used this (water running out immediately), and I thought I had overfilled it. My steamer had to be used a couple of times before the steam worked correctly. It would be beneficial if Eureka mentioned this in their manual. Other than that, I am very pleased with this steamer.
Thank you again! Judy

Also no steamers work like the commercials. Whenever I see the shark steam mop commercial or photos it cracks me up... They show great billows of steam and the shark, because of the tank on the handle, barely spat out any steam. People expect that though so it gets confusing

Thanks Alana. It's a little old-fashioned but I like it.
