ideal if you have a Bento but not always perfect for the American kitchen,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Just Bento Cookbook: Everyday Lunches To Go (Paperback)
I bought this to go with my new Mr. Bento because I wasn't sure I'd have enough ideas of foods to go into the various containers for day after day at work without getting bored. This cookbook has great recipe ideas but sometimes the ingredients are hard to find or the measurements don't seem to make sense. It's a good guide for the person new to eating Bento-style but it has flaws, too. Worth the read for the price, though.

I've read this book and agree with you wholeheartedly, unfortunately though it appears that unbiased reviews are not tolerated about this book.
Your particular review has been sited on the "Just Bento" facebook page and
this post on the authors blog http://www.justhungry.com/whats-your-kitc
it has been edited from it's original scathing comments but not before inciting outbursts from the authors friends and followers.
To quote but one post " Don't complain about what you don't understand just do more research to understand more."
Maybe the book should come with a built in search engine?
I feel that if the author took as much care writing the book as trying to degrade paying customers who expect their moneys worth maybe there would be less people regretting their purchase.
All this for a 4 star review. I feel sorry for those that rated lower.

This review would be more helpful if it were more specific on what aspects could have been made clearer to the reader. For example, where is this reviewer located and which of the ingredients are hard to find there? Which measurements don't make sense? I can't say it wouldn't provoke the same reaction if the review were more detailed, of course, but even though you agree with this reviewer's general sentiment, I still don't have any idea of what your actual objections are.

I totally agree with you. It feels very odd that the writer would attack reviewers.

What trouble? I found this review from the complaints posted on the website.
How much trouble did you go to to post such drivel?
