Got two of these to replace on the trunk supports of a friends '88 Plymouth Sundance (yes, that's 1988). Both the old ones were worn out and wouldn't hold the trunk up. Easy to replace, and has great strength out of the box. So much so, that it takes a little bit of effort to close the trunk once you get the new ones one. Not a lot of effort, and that should get easier with time. Only had them for a few days, hopefully will be fine for a while. If not...will update the review.
The price is good too (and arrived quick via Amazon Prime). $13 is about average online, but had seen other replacement lifts in retail stores for $25-$50 each.
