it's called the ear hook! it's a little loop that keeps the bluetooth from falling out of your ear. I think it's great. I still have the headset and use it everyday!! NO problems! sound quality is still there. I have had a few people at my work buy the same one. if you didn't make the purchase yet, what are you waiting for. You cant any better then this headset, the price is just right. hope this was helpful, but a little late...lol sorry.
