Please don't let this be the last book!,
This review is from: The Hidden Goddess (Veneficas Americana, Book 2) (Mass Market Paperback)After reading 'The Native Star' , the first book in this series, I couldn't wait to read 'The Hidden Goddess'. Emily Edwards is such an interesting, compelling female character. The story continues her relationship with the priggish, secretive Dreadnot Stanton after having gotten engaged at the end of the last novel. A good portion of the novel is devoted to the story of Emily's parentage and how she ended up with 'Pap' who had raised her since she was a little girl and more of the mysterious Sini Mira organization is explained. I don't want to give away much more of this wonderful book because part of it's pleasure is how the story unfolds and characters' motivations and secrets are revealed. The story wraps up without a cliffhanger which makes me think that this is the end for Emily and Dreadnot, I hope not but what a great book if it truly is the end.

I asked the author, and she stated she is working on proposing B3 & B4 to her publishers. Sounds like, it may not be a sure thing, but I'm grateful that she gave us a conclusion just in case. I would have hated to be left not knowing what happens next.

ME too! I love this world. So much thought and creativity went into creating it, I would loathe to have the world end with these two books. I would be thrilled with new characters and her spectacular story lines. Thoroughly enjoyed them both! :-)
