Bait and Switch,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Canon LP-E8 Battery Pack for Canon Digital Rebel T2i and T3i Digital SLR Cameras (Retail Package) (Electronics)Don't buy this item unless you want a cheap, imitation battery. It is not a Canon battery and will not perform as it is advertised. I purchased this battery based upon the photograph which depicted the product as being a genuine Canon battery. I have two others, so I know what they look like. The product sent to me was an inexpensive imitation, not an original Canon Battery. In reading other reviews, I see that this seller made this substitution before. This is consumer fraud. I have attached a photo of the comparison between the original Canon battery which I own, and the substitution provided by this seller.

I would also like to know which seller you used. I need a backup battery and with the reviews, it makes me a little nervous about purchasing one.

This information is useless unless you tell us the seller!

I'm sure that if you buy from a good seller like Adorama, you will be fine. This kind of review should be on the seller, not the genuine Canon product.

I purchased this from Amazon, and the battery received is genuine Canon, down to the packaging. I suspect you chose a poor seller, unfortunately your review is topmost.
