2.0 out of 5 stars Not good for FPS's, May 25, 2010
This review is from: Afterglow AX.1 Controller for Xbox 360 - Blue (Video Game)
Well I got this controller because my batteries kept dieing while playing MW2 and this controller looked cool.
The feel was OK, looks were nice but there are some major issues. The joystick clicking is a lot harder and the bumpers are a bit awkward, neither of which had a huge impact on my decision to return it.

The main problem I had with this controller is the joystick sensitivity. And not the kind you can fix by changing the sensitivity in your game. The problem is when you try to move just a little to the left when your aiming down the site about to blast some poor guys head off... you move the joystick just a little and your sites don't move at all, WTF. So you move the joystick a little farther and it jumps to the other side of the guys head and now your back where you started but on the opposite side.

If you don't play FPS's. And the games you do play don't require you to move ever so slightly in any direction then this controller just might work. Or if you ever play against your friends on the same console you could let them use this one while you use a controller that works and destroy them. =P

I think you might have gotten a bad controller. Mine works fine with games where you need precision, I've been playing Bioshock 2 with it. I do agree with the joystick clicking though, it's pretty tough.

If you read his post take his advice. I love FPS's but feel like a little kid when I use this controller. The sensitivity has real problems and not only am I not good in the game, it makes me angry. Spend the extra money and got an official controller and save your self the agony.

It is not his controller. I purchased two and they both have the same issue. I don't even play FPSs and this still bothered me. The right stick on one of the controllers became uncentered after just a couple days of playing as well. I had to attach a rubber band to the stick to get it to stay centered and straight. I loved the clear case and LEDs of the controller, but given the choice I would definitely spend the extra money on an official controller.

nah dude i have the exact same issue. i noticed it playing cod and i stopped using it because i was doing worse that i usually was. my controller, however, is wayy worse because not only does it have that issue, but the joystick decides to move whenever and wherever it wants. i have completely stopped using it. hopefully i can get a replacement or something. but i might end up just modding it lol

I agree with Jerry's original post. I've been trying to play halo:reach and after switching to this controller I've died more times on multiplayer than I wish to count. I thought maybe I just needed to get used to the controller so I played a few campaign levels on Legendary and again, got rocked. I'm returning the controller today.

Yes I agree with Jerry. I got this controller for COD: Black Ops and the thumb sticks suck!! I had to go back to the OEM controller after 5min. Also the glow of the controllers is a little distracting in the dark.

I agree with Jerry as well. Something strange about the movements made on screen for the amount of force put on the directional sticks. I can't place my finger on it, but it was definitely different. I don't agree with 2/5 stars though. I think its still a decent controller, maybe just not fine-tuned enough for FPS's. I think a 3 maybe 4 out of 5 stars should have been given....but thats just my thought.
