My favorite jeans...,
This review is from: Levi's Men's 514 Straight Jean (Apparel)
These fit well, and unlike a lot of comparable jeans, they don't tend to retreat down the back of your derriere when you squat down. The only real detriment on these is that while they fit a skinny guy well, they don't really leave much room for... *ahem*... anything you might be carrying up front... If you need to carry a larger amount up front, you might find it cramped quarters in that regard. Otherwise, these possess the normal quality and durability you have come to expect from Levis. Recommended, barring the one caveat I mentioned.

I know what you mean by not leaving much room for the junk.

Mimi, that's all well and good but when you have extra stuff to carry around, having it squashed and shoved off to the side can be a little embarrassing and uncomfortable. I know people like to brag about what they're carrying around, but this really was just meant to be a warning that some men might find it uncomfortable.

When trying a pair on at the store the cute girl helping me straight stared for 10 seconds. I was instantly sold. They do loosen up in the crotch after awhile though.

I have to agree with the "tight in the crotch" comments, because they are indeed a bit snug there. It does go away somewhat after a few washes but I have had several pairs of these 514's (some for a couple years) and they didn't ever fully lose the snugness there. So if you think that might bother you, it might be wise to avoid these. But other than that these are the best jeans I've ever owned... they are awesome after you get used to them.

This review cracked me up. I am a woman on a desperate search for 100% cotton jeans like I used to wear when I was a kid, and I thought these Levi's 514s fit me great. But as I tried them on, I wondered . . .
