page full of junk food!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Treasure Hunt Can You Find Me? (Seek and Find Book) (Hardcover)This book is great, don't get me wrong. But there's a page called "Food" that has pictures of: pizzas, frosted doughnuts, lollipops, hamburgers, french fries, cupcakes, frosted animal crackers, and popsicles. I'm sorry, but I don't really want to teach my child that this garbage is what we define as "Food"!! Perhaps this page should be labeled as "Treats". Just my opinion. Of course, it's not REALLY that big of a deal, but just be forewarned. There is a page each for fruits and vegetables, so it's not like this book is promoting unhealthy eating or anything. Other than that page, it is very visually appealing. Tons of things to look at. My daughter, 11 months, likes looking at and pointing to the pictures. We'll just skip the Food page for now!
Oh, and the pages are: Fruit, Farm, Food, Animals, Vegetables, Construction, Forest, Emergency, Toys, Machines.

Thanks for the warning.
Will pass then on this book, as we just don't do junk food or the SAD diet (Standard American Diet).
Its too bad they don't just stick to fresh whole foods. There are a growing number of families out there that are becoming more educated in their families food choices after all.

Why don't you just glue the pages together? Then, you and your family can enjoy the excellence of the rest of the book.

It's hard enough: We get bombarded at the supermarket where they intentionally place sweets at children's eye-level and on software for kids and kids television shows. I do NOT want to pay for such detrimental advertising, yuck! Thanks for mentioning this!
