5.0 out of 5 stars strangely , very appealing, January 18, 2006
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Dreamcatcher (Widescreen Edition) (DVD)
There's just a cozy feeling to it. It's a constantly white-out snowing, Stephen King style, humor mixed with gore, great movie. And, I even like the story. Okay, it's not Great-Great, but really good. Especially when you have to stay inside (snow, flu, broken leg etc.).

Regardless, it's definitely worth a look. I never met anyone who just hated it. And if you don't love it, you'll probably just be glad to have seen it and move on to your next scary/funny, sunday/rainy movie.

But again, this is one of my favorite movies for some strange reason. Everybody's got a few of those, so I know you'll understand.

AND, you might want to buy it now, they're not producing this edition anymore and I already can't find it in a retail store.

I was going to write a review but you said all. A guilty pleasure where I see all the flaws it has but still find it enjoyable and even with all its holes, engrossing. Anything in this genre that can be engrossing is a winner. Had to watch it a couple times before it grew on me. Definition of a guilty pleasure: It'll never have my respect but I probably always watch it.

I too like this movie. Not for the creatures (obviously phallic silliness) but for the love and comraderie of the four hotties, I mean friends, who have psychic abilities. The snow is another plus for me (that's why I liked Misery and The Shining I guess)

OMG, they totally phallic. For the snowy thing I'd recommend a war movie that's not your typical war movie, A Midnight Clear. And an European entry Winter Sleepers, I'd be hard pressed to give this one a genre. And a good western is Will Penny.
