Details for using with Galaxy Nexus,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: PowerGen 2.4Amps / 12W Dual USB Car charger Designed for Apple and Android Devices - Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This charger requires a little fiddling to work with the Galaxy Nexus. Specifically, the 1A jack does work as an "AC" style charger with full output for the Galaxy Nexus, although with the screen turned up and navigation running, it will slowly discharge using the 1A jack. This is typical on the GNex, since it needs a little more than 1A to have a bright screen and run navigation.
As described in other reviews, the 2A jack is detected the Galaxy Nexus "USB" jack and consequently will only charge at 500ma. If you have a custom kernel and ROM that support fast-USB charge, then you can enable that feature and get full 2A charging out of the 2A jack. (I use Lean Kernel on the GNex and Pershoot's Kernel on the Tab).
Using the 2A jack with USB fast-charge enabled, I am able to use a bright screen and navigation and still charge the GNex. Unfortunately when doing this the phone gets really hot.
Overall it is a good product, I've only used it for about a month, so I still don't know about durability.

How have the charger and your Galaxy Nexus held up after doing this for the better part of a year?
