When a tripod is too heavy and hand-holding won't do...,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Manfrotto 361 Shoulder Brace for Monopod - Replaces 3248 (Electronics)
I bought this shoulder brace to use with a Manfrotto monopod and a Manfrotto 234RC quick release monopod head to mount either a SLR with a 400mm lens or a small spotting scope. I have tried using telephoto lenses and spotting scopes on a momopod before and never found them steady enough. This item works fine. It is light and pretty easy to use and does help steady a camera or scope. It is not a substitute for a tripod though, so I would only use this for those times when I don't want to carry a tripod but when hand-holding the camera or using the scope on a shoulder mount won't provide enough steadiness or would be too tiring.
