Just another awesome addition to the Gears franchise.,
This review is from: Gears of War 3 Epic Edition -Xbox 360 (Video Game)
Ill start off by reviewing what comes in the epic edition Gears of war 3, then ill move on to the game itself. So, everything from the artwork to the action figures to the game etc comes in this big box, and is securely packaged within it. The photographs are truly amazing! They are extremely vivid and pleasant to the eye. There was definitely some thought put into these, so much so that there are actually notes on the back of each photo, giving you that realistic feel. The art booklet, in my opinion is the best piece in this collection. Just being able to see whats behind the scenes and how this awesome game was built is very special to me. This booklet also contains artwork that isn't available anywhere else. The Marcus statue surprised me in how durable and detailed it was. This is not like one of those cheap cereal box toys that are just thrown in to make everything seem of more worth, but rather has extreme value to it. The quality of these items really do add to the value of this entire set. A few other goodies you'll find in the box are the Octus award cog, a blue flag, the Adam fenix DLC code, and the Octus award certificate which if i say so my self looks very legit. To keep this review nice and short ill go over quickly to the game itself. The campaign is very in depth, Although Ive only gotten so far, i can tell its going to be an awesome thrill ride. The new horde mode is unbelievably fun. I literally couldn't keep my self away from it. The new features for multiplayer definitely add to the overall value of this game. I'd also like to point out the new weapons as well. From the bayonet to the oneshot and the sawed off shot gun, just enhances your overall experience. As for the rest of the game modes, take my word for it, you wont be disappointed. On a graphical standpoint, the visuals are extremely in depth and intense. It has a cinematic feel which draws you closer in to the game. The graphics fall nothing short of impressive. So that about sums up my review, overall this game is truly amazing and the content inside the epic edition gears of war 3 definitely makes this worth it.

I too was very impressed with the quality of the statue! Very detailed and larger than I thought it would be. Makes me feel better about spending $150!

Haha, glad to know you enjoy it! The price is pretty steep, that's why I'm happy the product isn't cheap. :D

I was really afraid the statue would be some sort of ceramic or whatever, then when I learned it was PVC I went from one horror to another. The first being the possibility of a broken statue, the second being because it was PVC it could have ended up looking like... well, crap. It's really impressive how nice it is.
Add that to the quality of all the other stuff in the set and it makes the $150 price tag easy to swallow. My only qualm is that the only thing we got over the LE was the statue. I was hoping for something else a little more exclusive, maybe another playable character? I don't know.
Anyway, good review!

Lol thanks a lot man. I totally agree with you on finding out that the statue was made of PVC. I was a little scared at first that it would turn out to be a piece of junk, but was crazy surprised to see how well it actually turned out. Also, I'd like to applaud you on your reviews. You really do put a lot of time and effort into them and i just wanted to acknowledge that.
