2.0 out of 5 stars nothing really new here but demo's and this is it song, October 26, 2009

This review is from: Michael Jackson's This Is It (Audio CD)
I was hoping this would have been actual recordings from the staples center and movie but its just re-releases from the past. The second disc has barely anything on it , they could have filled it with out-takes and other stuff from the past ... clearly a rush job , I expect a more definitive cd collection with rarities and remixes that never made the other albums will be available but this cd really has nothing to do with the movie ... not one track is from the actual rehearsals before his death..... they could have made the second cd the rehearsal while the first cd the masters and I would have been ok with that as well... but this is just a get something out there now disc and really brings nothing new other than the Paul Anka stuff.
I was expecting a little more from a two disc set.

I was also hoping a sort of "live" of the recordings... Plus, Paul Anka is not creditted...
I enjoy the demos, especially Beat It !

I am quite disappointed in this product

Clearly a push job?? This whole project is a joke. No one was celebrating Michael when he was alive and his shows barely got press Stateside when it was announced yet now everyone loves MJ so much that theyre willing to buy into rehearsal footage??

If the love that is out there now was prevalent when he was alive, the 2000's would have been more productive decade for MJ.

This CD was not advertised as being music from the rehearsals. It was said to be the songs that inspired the tour and now the movie. And that's exactly what it is, along with the bonus photo booklet and like you said, the demos and This Is It.

This whole 'only true fans are allowed to enjoy Michael Jackson' has grown tiresome.

He is clearly one of the most talented people to walk the Earth, but at the same time,
his behavior had grown extremely bizarre in the last 10 years (plastic surgery, etc).

I will see his movie this week. I now own all his CDs, but before June didn't own any.

This was a deeply misunderstood man, who was betrayed by the world because his
odd behavior made the worst accusations seem believable.

I finally decided to purchase the CD since I did want the "This Is It" song as well as the photo booklet. But I too am disappointed that they did not make better use of the 2nd CD. IT would have been amazing if they had put just MJ's vocals (acapella) on the 2nd CD for each song that was on the first CD.
