Great suit for the price!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Salvatore Exte Men's 2 Button Sharkskin Silver Gray Suit (Apparel)
Bought this suit last week with overnight shipping for a wedding this past weekend (I have other suits in case it didn't make it). My most recent suit purchase was a 38R that was just a touch bigger than I hoped so I ordered this in a 36R and it fit perfectly.
The color is true to the picture.
Although much longer than I need, the pants fit wonderfully (neither restrictive nor too loose).
You do need to get the pants hemmed. This is the first suit I've bought that didn't have hemmed pants, but another reviewer had mentioned it so I was prepared.
As a reference for all of the above, I'm 5' 7" and 140lbs. Typically, I wear 30" waist, 30" length pants.

Can you tell me about the 'shark skin' material/color? Is it wool, wool-silk, or?

Trust my advice as I've worked for Neimans, Armani, & Ralph Lauren. Buy 36S in suits. If your chest is bigger, say 38", get a 38S. In either case, then find a competent tailor; the 38s will need the side seams on the jacket taken in, the sleeves shortened, and collar work (hopefully not collar wk!). Except for athletic fit, the waist in 6" smaller than the size of the chest. This called "the drop." Athletic fit usually is a 7 " drop. The area of a jacket below the chest (girth) is the same number of inches smaller as the pant. The bigger the size of a suit, the longer the jacket (length of back). Never, ever buy a suit which is an R (regular) again. Buy S (short) only!

Sorry, but sharkskin is a retro Rat Pack fabric with sheen due to weave. Traditionally wool and silk. But acetate and other man made fabrics are usually in lower priced suits. Occasionally, for a touch of funk or margin, designers will include a pinch of something other than wool or silk.
