Just the Match To Light the Fire Under Your Seat!,
This review is from: The Fire Starter Sessions: A Soulful + Practical Guide to Creating Success on Your Own Terms (Hardcover)
Just the session titles alone make you want to slap yourself in the face and get moving! In the 1st session, Declare Your Super Powers (I mean, who hasn't at one point or another created their own super hero persona based on some rocking, unique gift they possess?!?!? If you haven't, I strongly suggest you stop right now and name yourself), Danielle gets down and dirty about Knowing and Speaking Your Truth. She talks about trying to be good at everything from cooking to Quickbooks... none of which excited her. She notes, "It was an anxiety-inducing curriculum of people pleasing. I wanted to feel in sync with The Force, not at odds with it. 'Up for the challenge' was no longer cool - it was mostly a hassle." She commands you to answer: "Who are you trying to impress? What do you have to force yourself to do? What would you like to never, ever do again?" And to "approve of your weaknesses". Let's face it, you will never be great at things you have to force yourself to be good at. Once you're clear on what ain't floating your boat, "you can focus on building your natural strengths and doing what comes easiest for you. You will gain a momentum in your life that feels efficient and exciting and hot. Like sexy kind of hot and deeply nourishing kind of hot, like your heart on fire kind of hot. The kind of hot we all want to feel." YES WE DO! (I LOVE THIS WOMAN!) My other personal fave is this, (because we all know or feel we should be a know-it-all, and isn't that annoying?) "I really liked people who admitted when they didn't know something. 'Out of my league - no idea.' What a refreshingly real response in contrast to the bs, empty-eyed refrains of know-it-all answers and feigned interest." She's compassionate while at the same time kicks your tush!
