Good kid's watch at a good price - don't throw directions away!!,

This review is from: LED Waterproof Sports Digital Watch for Children Girls Boys (Pink) (Watch)
There aren't many good choices for a pink digital watch for girls. My wife and I were hesitant to buy this one (or any others by this maker) based on reviews saying how difficult it was to set the time.
I want to encourage everyone reading - it's not that hard. There were two sets of instructions with the watch, depending on whether your watch is type "A" or type "B." If you push a button and it doesn't do what the instructions for type "A" say, you must have type "B".
Now, I agree that the instructions are needlessly difficult. Instead of a list of directions, you have a flowchart. I imagine this might be great for visual learners. For people who learn by reading or hearing (like me), it's a bit trickier. Nevertheless, once I figured out I had type "B", it just took a few minutes to figure out how it works. And wouldn't you know it - when I followed the directions, they worked!
If you want a good watch at a good price, go ahead and try it out, and when you get bemused or befuddled, take a deep breath and try again. Once you get the hang of it, it's fine.
Now, for features:
-The watch's illumination feature is very good - you can easily read the watch in darkness.
-The buttons are too easy to push, but that's a minor quibble
-The pink is just as cute as the pictures show
-The day-of-the-week calendar blacks out the current day, which means you know it's Wednesday because that's the one you CAN'T see. This seems backwards.
-Same goes for the alarm and chime - you know they're on when they're darkened.
